Hello,
My name is Scott Kindelberger. I'm the presenter and producer of Out of the Lot.
During the day, I spend my time using my Mechanical Engineering degree from Washington State University as a manufacturing engineer in the trucking industry. During the night, when I am not dreaming about owning a Lancia Delta HF Integrale, I spend my time using my Film Studies minor to make episodes of Out of the Lot.
I don't know everything about cars, and I'm certainly not a master mechanic. What I do have are plenty of opinions, a love for driving, and a fascination with the stories cars create. I'd much rather explore why a car matters than tell you to buy one... unless it's a race car, which you should absolutely go buy.
I grew up loving cars, but I later realized I loved the way they made me feel. Whether it was the speed of a race car, the looks of a hypercar, or the majesty of the Fiat Toblerone, cars had a way of pulling me in. I love hearing stories, and I love telling stories, and Out of the Lot is where I get to explore those stories.
My love of storytelling stems from my adoration of movies. I like how they bring you into a new world, somewhere you have never, or rarely, been before. Movies make you feel something new, create a connection that can only be broken by time (or dementia), and allow you to experience a life that is not your own. In an age of endless information, feeling and understanding are among the most important gifts someone can give (second only to a Lancia Delta HF Integrale).
My goal is not to teach you about cars; that will be a byproduct of each episode, but to share something with you. It could be a frustration with the automotive industry killing the hatchback, a love for cars like the Lancia Delta HF Integrale, or simply a laugh... of which I do at all my own jokes.
This journey has just begun, and I look forward to our adventures Out of the Lot.
As always, thank you so much for watching. I truly do hope you enjoy.
Goodbye.
